This will include speaking with delegates, getting their attention as they walk past, handing out swag (freebies) and scanning their badges. The right person needs to be happy to approach and talk with delegates, confident and polite, and willing to network in groups. We will provide a brief on our products/services in advance. Lunch and drinks are provided.

Looking for a reliable, well-presented event assistant to support an executive after-hours networking event at a bar at Darling Harbour Sydney. Date: Tuesday, 25 Feb 2026 Call time: 4-4:30PM Event proper: 5:30-9:30PM Main tasks: 1. Receive and set up the media wall (set up the media wall I have ordered and position correctly for photos and at the space I have coordinated with the venue) at least an hour before the event 2. Ensure event runs smoothly: monitor food & drinks service, coordinate with venue staff if refills or adjustments are needed. 3. Manage raffle logistics (collect guests’ physical name cards, prepare draw bowl, assist during draw, ensure photographer captures key moments and with the right VIPs in the photos). 4. Keep an eye on event timing and discreetly support transitions (e.g. raffle draw, wind-down). You’ll be supporting senior guests (C-suite, directors), so professionalism and initiative are essential. Dress code: Smart business / polished business casual. Must be proactive, calm, and comfortable coordinating with venue staff, photographer and with me who will be monitoring the event remotely (via Whatsapp). I will require one or two pre-production meeting - about 15-30mins - about a week before the event.
