I’m looking for an experienced seamstress, dressmaker or someone specialising in custom soft furnishings to create a beautiful, handmade children’s canopy for my daughter’s bedroom. I have a detailed inspiration image showing exactly what I’m hoping to achieve please see image. The design is a traditional ceiling-hung canopy with a pointed/conical top, a circular hoop and beautiful, soft, flowing fabric underneath. The main features I’m after are: * Colour: Soft, muted dusty teal blue. * Fabric: High-quality, lightweight cotton or linen with a beautiful, natural drape. * Shape: Traditional conical canopy with a ceiling hanging loop. * Hoop diameter: Approximately 50–55 cm. * Decorative band: A smooth, structured fabric band approximately 12–15 cm wide, positioned around the circumference where the pointed top meets the flowing fabric. * Gathering: Soft, evenly gathered fabric above and below the band, creating a full, elegant drape. The most important detail is the structured band. I’d love it to have a neat, professional finish that holds its shape beautifully, while the surrounding fabric remains soft and flowing. I’m planning to hand-embroider decorative seashells onto the band myself so I DO NOT expect you to do this, no embroidery or embellishments are required. My image I provided you is just showing you what I intend to do and what the end result will look like but it’s important for you to know what I want to do to it so perhaps it may change things from your end on how you construct the band. I’m happy to discuss fabric sourcing and whether materials should be supplied by me or include them in your quote. Ideally, I’m looking for someone in Sydney who has experience with custom sewing projects and can help bring this design to life. I have two small sewing jobs - sew two darts in a pair of pants: bought on Depop and they’re too wide around the waist - I’ve pinned the waist in, just need someone with a sewing machine to sew them. I'd like to replace the zippers on my couch cushions with a heavier duty zipper. I need to take off the cushions occasionally to wash them because of my kids and i need something that can it. Three pillows, 2 square and 1 rectaular/chaise.

Unfortunately my dog has got ahold of my Akubra and chewed/ripped the inner leather band out along with this outside crown band. I’m wanting someone to try their best sewing it back in/on to fix it. I know it’s not going to be perfect again and I’m Completely fine with that. The Inner band has a rip in it but I reckon it can be sewed back in. The outer band is pretty simple, just needs a couple threads to hold it on. Additional Info can be provided

I have a square bag that needs the zipper replaced preferably with something more heavy duty. The zipper goes around 3 sides of the bag and is approximately 24cm in total length. I currently have an influx of old and new stuff that I would like to rework into new items and designs. I have a sewing machine however don’t have the hours to commit. Per item made. I will pay the maker per piece depending on complexity. To give example the first pieces I would like to create a dress from large shirts that I have on hand. I have purchased a pattern piece for this desired look and would be in search of someone who can articulate my design into a finished rework/upcycled piece.
