I need someone who owns and can drive their medium to large sized truck that is either fully enclosed or at a minimum has side gates. I have tie down straps and a group of people to load the truck with my furniture and personal effects that are at present currently stored in my shed on my parents farm in Balliang East, Vic. (About 20 mins out from Bacchus Marsh) And drive your truck with my belongings and myself to my new place in Ascot Vale, where my group of people will unpack /unload your truck. It is roughly 45 mins to 1 hour drive from the farm to Ascot Vale and you are not required to do any lifting or loading/unloading of the truck yourself. It will take around 1- 1.5 hours to load the truck up and about an hour for us to unload it all once we are at the new place. REMOVALIST -(update) PRICE GOUGING QUOTES WERE IGNORED. I received quotes (via alt. sources) from established, reputable removalist companies based in MELBOURNE which CAME IN UNDER BUDGET. I have accepted a quote and job is closed. I am leaving this here for information for TASKERS who are still seeking work. You are NOT competitive. If you want work, you need to know this. Melbourne removalists are travelling 90-120 minutes to start the job and still doing it cheaper. My proposed rate allowed $300 for vehicle/fuel/equipment, etc COSTS + 6 x ($50/hr x 2) pay rate (which includes 3 hrs DRIVING and 3 hrs for load/unload). But the load/unload should only take experienced removalists a max 2 hrs. I INCLUDED *RETURN TO BASE* IN DRIVE TIME which is not normally charged at full hourly rate, and I overestimated load/unload time, so I ALREADY OVERQUOTED. I have moved (myself and family/friends) many times with and without professional removalists. I know the size, & complexity of this job. Experienced removalists will load/unload in 1.5-2 hours maximum, I SPECIFIED I WAS PREPARED TO NEGOTIATE RATE within reason. Quotes here are 211% and 183% of budget.
