Very very simple task - I need someone to help me carry a TV unit from my car in the car park up to my apartment. Its solid and 140cm in length but not that heavy - it wouldn't be possible for me to carry it up stairs alone but with two people it will be easy. You dont need to be a big strong person - any reasonable person will be able to do it with me! In total the task will honestly take no longer than 10 minutes ( I just don't have anyone close by who I can easily call to help!!). 8 months ago I had a 6 tonne truck (29m3) for moving all my stuff in one go to a 2bd apartment in Thornbury. Now I need the same set up (a 6 tonne truck, 29m3 & 2 men) to help move my stuff to Coburg townhouse, a driving distance 4.8km away between Thornbury apartment and Coburg townhouse. I have a 3.6m long curtain pelmet that the truck needs to be long enough to fit. Also, some furniture and washing machine need to go 1 floor (stairs) up from ground floor living/kitchen area in Coburg townhouse. I am after a job-based price rather than hourly rate, and I envisaged half day moving job on Sat 9 July. I can provide a list of items to be moved, nothing too heavy in particular.

The townhouse we are in now has one flight of stairs, the new apartment has a lift (yay) We have been given a booking slot of April 14th from 11-2pm to lock off the lift for our move to the new apartment. So it’s crucial that we start on time. The big items of note will be a modular couch (which splits into pieces for ease, but they are still quite large) If you have moving blankets to protect the couch that would be ideal and it’s quite new. a fridge, washing machine, buffet side table, coffee table and then some boxes. No bed or mattress. Im allowing 1.5 hours to pack up the truck and then it’s a 6 min drive to the new place. Aiming to start there at 11 for the unload.
