The job involves wire brushing, priming, and top-coating the C-section steel chassis rails of a 1970s transportable house measuring 12m x 10m, split into two sections. **Scope of works:** - Wire brush all C-section chassis rails to remove rust, flaking paint, and loose debris, preparing the surface for painting. - There are some sections where the C-section is quite badly pitted and I’ve got a air needle gun for those bits but I could possibly get the young fella onto that ASAP - Apply one coat of oil-based metal primer by brush to all prepared steel. - Apply one coat of oil-based topcoat by brush once the primer has cured. - Work to be completed on both house sections. **Site conditions:** - The house is set up on stands approximately 1,200mm off the ground in a sealed car park, giving comfortable working clearance underneath. - A wheeled mechanic's seat 200-300mm high with wheels is provided so you can move around underneath while seated. - All materials, brushes, wire brushes, PPE, and equipment are supplied. **What we're after:** Someone reliable who takes pride in their prep work — good preparation is the difference between a paint job that lasts and one that doesn't.
