I'm preparing my front garden bed (approx. 4.5m × 3m) for replanting to a landscaper's plan. I'm looking for an experienced gardener to clear and prepare the bed. - Clear all non-retained plants and surface vegetation. - Remove overgrown clover by hand-pulling or scraping, making sure runners (stolons) and roots are fully removed. - Loosen and aerate the topsoil, using hand tools only near the gum tree and no deep digging within its root zone. - Mix in the supplied organic soil/compost blend, keeping it clear of the Banksia and Woolly Bush root zones. - Apply a 75mm layer of the supplied mulch, keeping it 10cm clear of plant stems and trunks. Must be protected: - Gum tree, Banksia, Woolly Bush, and the grasses/bush marked with tape. - Drip irrigation: please lift it carefully before working the soil, then re-lay it on top of the soil beneath the mulch.
