We need to change the steps to regulation size, make the driveway wider, retaining wall falling over, so redo that, put in a drive and parking area on the LHS and generally tart up the front. We don't want to go overboard, as it will probably be be bulldozed when we leave. We don't need working plans, but a creative concept design, some surface ideas, keeping within the 50's area. Needing some ideas to fix up our front & back gardens, requires retaining wall work removing old trees & replacement with new also wanting maintenance work,pruning & tidying up

We are after someone qualified and experienced to provide a design, insight and ideas into a section of our backyard. We roughly know what we want to do, however, we wish to seek expert help to provide tips and ideas and draw it all up. The area on top of our block retaining wall is slightly sloping so we wish to excavate it flat, build some small stepped retaining walls offset approx 700mm from the fence line (merbau clad with an integrated bench seat in the corner) and have a fire pit on top of a flat grassed lawn. Potentially some clumping bamboo behind the retaining wall as a privacy screen. We wish to keep everything simple, neat, easy to maintain and as inexpensive as possible. Any additional ideas from a experienced landscape designer would be great. Would need to see proof of previous works / designs to select someone suitable. There is no rush on the project, however we want to get it underway sooner rather than later. I have already removed the trees in the photo.
