Need to install an entrance lever set in place of an existing internal door lever. Important: The existing hole isn’t big enough, needs expanding to 54mm from both sides of the door. Everything else fits perfect. I don’t have a drill or piece with me to expand the hole otherwise would be able to do myself.

Hi, I need an experienced carpenter or skilled handyman to reverse the swing of a solid internal door so it opens from the opposite side. ​What needs to be done: ​Remove the existing door, hinges, and handle. ​Flip/rotate the door so the hinges are on the opposite side (handle will be at a similar height). ​Chisel/rout new hinge recesses and a new striker plate recess into the opposite side of the door frame. ​Rehang the door and reinstall the existing black lever lockset. ​Ensure the door opens, closes, and latches smoothly. ​Patching: Fill the old hinge and striker plate recesses in the timber door frame with builder's bog/wood filler and sand it flush so it is ready for paint. ​Additional Info: ​I will supply the existing door, hinges, and handle. No new hardware is required. ​I will take care of the final touch-up painting of the frame once you have patched and sanded it. ​Photos are attached showing the current door, frame, and lock setup. ​What you need to bring: ​Tools (chisels, drill, router, screwdrivers, etc.) ​Wood filler / Builder's bog and sandpaper for patching the frame. ​Please let me know your experience with hanging doors when you make an offer. Hey peeps We have an internal door that, because of the hinges - opens up into the room , obstructing space . What we are looking to do is, is to swap the hinges on the door from the right hand side to the left - with relocation of the door handles and the door hole etc . This may require some sanding and patching up of the wooden door frames and the actual door . Reach out if you can help !
