The Venetian blinds won’t tilt anymore. The drawstring is also broken. A home fix has got it working to pull up and down but it is a very rough job.

I have vertical blinds with 38 slates (which would open to a width of about 4 meters). I wish to shorten the drop length/height. The currently have about 4 meters drop length/height (ie two stories of a house) and I want to shorten them to 2 meters (ie one story of a house).

4x 180-200cm blinds & 3x 80-100cm blinds to be face mounted on the wall above the window (ps.: I don't know if it's timber or concrete and what's behind the wall - 6 years old building). The measurements of the windows are not standard so 5 blinds will have to be cut to measure (I know it can be done because I read the installation PDF that Ikea provides). It can be done during the week after 3pm. Thanks.

Aluminium Venetian blind is approximately 3m wide with 7 ladder strings. 1. Headrail not properly secured due to two faulty spring-loaded installation brackets. Supply and replace faulty spring-loaded installation brackets. 2. Slats not turning properly when wand is turned. Last string ladder at the end of blind by the wand needs adjustment. The string ladder needs to be adjusted and secured properly to tilt rod/cradle in the head rail. 3. When the Pull cord is pulled, the slats do not lock into the place. The cord lock maybe faulty and needs to be replaced?
