I need a licensed gas fitter to confirm the reason why my gas meter is not registering usage. The meter shows the same reading since last couple of months. On approaching the gas distribution company they have advised to get this checked with a licensed plumber or a licensed gas fitter to confirm if the fault is in gas installation or in the gas meter. If the fault is in gas meter they will replace it but they need confirmation on this first

Bosch 4-burner gas cooktop with a faulty control knob/valve mechanism. One of the burner knobs has become stuck in the depressed position. The knob can still rotate and the burner can be turned on and off, however the push-to-ignite mechanism does not return to its normal position. Symptoms: Knob/spindle remains pushed down after being pressed. Continuous ignition clicking/sparking occurs because the ignition switch appears to remain activated. Burner operation otherwise appears normal. No noticeable gas smell. Issue appears to be related to the internal spring/return mechanism within the control assembly. Additional Information: I have removed the knob and confirmed the spindle does not spring back up as it should. I attempted to inspect the cooktop but some retaining screws appear seized/stripped due to age and heat exposure. Looking for diagnosis and repair of the control valve, spring mechanism, or ignition switch as required.
