I need someone experienced with floating laminate/vinyl flooring to repair several floorboards that have separated over time. There are approximately 10–15 boards across different areas of my home where the joints have come apart, leaving visible gaps. The boards themselves are not damaged, and I'm looking for them to be realigned and clicked/tapped back into place, rather than replaced. Scope of work: Inspect the affected areas. Realign and secure the separated floorboards. Bring any tools required to complete the repair. Advise if any boards have damaged locking mechanisms. This is not a full flooring replacement—I'm looking for a practical, cost-effective repair by someone with experience in floating floors. I have off cuts that might have a different groove that can be modified , if not can always take some from the linen closet or wardrobe.
