I have had carpet call installing carpet in our two bed rooms and am now trying to get them to install the same carpet on the old stairs and in the new build attic... however they are a bit difficult to deal with. Firstly is it possible to install carpet without any underlay (ceiling is very low in attic)... and how do you prevent fraying of the carpet (edge it? Or glue it?)? How much would it approximately cost to install carpet in a 12 m2 attic (without underlay) noting that corners are not 90 degrees and a staircase (10 steps and 3 winders) with some underlay?
