Start time 3pm and set up by 4:30pm then stay till 11:30pm to help take empty glassware to the bar and help put in dishwasher if additional clean glasses needed. Also to just refill cutlery, napkins, take out bins when they are full, wipe up any spillages and then at the end of the night help move chairs and tables back into the room. paid in cash.

    I am getting married on Friday 18 August 2017 in the Manly area (10 minutes walk from the ferry wharf) and like all weddings, we're having a big party to celebrate. We are looking for 2 events staff for the day. You must be 18 years and over, have a good understanding of English, friendly, reliable and proactive. The required hours: Start at 3 pm (to set up ceremony area and behind the bar inside the hall), finishing at 11.30 pm. We will provide you with a staff meal and you will be paid $250 per person (the cost showing on the page includes the 15% airtasker fee). Ceremony will start at 4 pm. You are required to help set up the area - line up the chairs, put out the floral arch, roll out the carpet, usher in wedding guests and provide general help around the area. Once the ceremony concludes, you will need to move the chairs inside the hall, the floral arch near the entrance door of the hall and place the carpet near the door too). Reception starts from 4.45 pm and will conclude at 10.45 pm - bump out between 11 pm to 11.30 pm. Both the ceremony and the reception are at the same location. On the day you will need to be well presented with clean and pressed white collared shirt (with no logo), black pants and a pair of comfortable non-slip black shoes. At the reception, you will mainly be stationed behind the bar area serving drinks and alcohol. RSA certificate is not required however some experience in drinks pouring/serving would be beneficial. When not serving drinks behind the bar, you will be required to complete the following tasks: - Ensure there is enough ice to keep the drinks chilled and enough water in the water jugs - Keep the bar area clean and tidy - Pick up dirty glassware from guests, putting them in the dishwasher and polishing the clean glasses ready for re-use - Wipe any spills and empty garbage bins when required - Cleaning up any broken glass (if any) - Hourly toilet checks (basic clean up, ensuring the restroom area is tidy) At 11 pm, the events staff are then required to assist in cleaning the place, taking down any decorations and moving furniture (chairs and tables) to where it needs to be. You are also required for 15-30 minutes on Saturday 5 August onsite for a meet and greet and a quick briefing - it will be nice if I can put a face to a name =) If you are up for this, please let me know.

    This is overseeing role of duties outlined below. - Food will be on ready on site, as will platters and servingware. - 4 kitchen staff and 4 bar/wait staff will also be on duty. As a fully self-catered venue, we are bringing food in and would love someone to assist us with making the presentation look wonderful: - Setting up artful displays of grazing platters: cold meats, cheeses, dried fruit and nuts, antipasto, dips and vegetable crudités, pate, crackers and breads; and sushi platters on a range of timber boards and baskets (supplied) - Overseeing preparation of smoked salmon blinis - Overseeing food heating and serving – roster of food preparation so it comes out in a planned, progressive way - Overseeing stylish presentation of hot foods and dipping sauces onto serving platters for wait staff to carry around room - Slicing of wedding cake - Artful display of deserts, petit four etc later in the evening on platters, alongside sliced wedding cake, including remaining cheeses, dried fruits, nuts etc to accompany tea and coffee If you : - Love being creative in the display of food - Are outcome orientated and really want to see a function run smoothly - Have a make it happen attitude - Are WOW and want to continuously WOW others - Are fun and bring a bit of quirk Dress Code: - button up shirt - colour to be advised (black or white) - black pants or skirt - black shoes - well groomed
