An NBN specialist come to my place yesterday to fix the issue with my NBN speeds (I was only getting 15 Mbps downloads but paid for 50 Mbps). He looked at the Telstra box outside my house and did his diagnostics to find that it was coming in as 50 Mbps. However on the inside of the house when he plugged his diagnostics through the wall socket it came way lower. He advised that because I had multiple sockets on the wall (due to an oldish house that was using ADSL previously) it was causing issues with the speed and constant dropouts in my internet connection. He said NBN couldn't fix that but said it would be an easy fix for an electrician/technician to come and disconnect all the other sockets so there's only 1 direct connection for the NBN. Not sure if this makes sense but help required here pls to disconnect the rest of the sockets/phone line connections.
