Hi I am looking for an electrician to fix a friends mirror that I sent her. The led lights are not all working. It is berry simple, the back of the mirror opens up via screws and the led lights are stuck on the backing. The whole mirror is supposed to light up, not just a small part in the corner as per the photo. Either fix the led lights or replace them if they are not fixable. Update: task originally was "Install 40 ceiling plugs and 11 dimmer switches". Now updated so this task is just for the first visit to SUPPLY AND INSTALL 6x ceiling plugs, and to INSTALL (but not supply) 2x dimmers or dimmer switches. We can discuss what dimmers to get once an offer is accepted, and I will source them or cover the purchase price. After testing a few different lights I will then post a new task for the rest of the job described below. Original description follows: ==================== I want to replace 40 existing hardwired downlights (various types) with ceiling sockets to which I will myself install new IC-4 rated downlights. I also want to replace the 11 existing switches with 11 new dimmer switches. You don't need to provide or install the new downlights, I will do that once the sockets are in place. I'm not expecting you to need to run any new wires or cut any new holes in the ceiling. Four units are above a stairway but I think your work on those can be done inside the roof space whereas all others can be done from below. (Getting the new fittings into the ceiling hole from below will be my problem rather than yours.) I may need your help sourcing the switches - see below. Note: If you're providing any parts I'll want an itemised invoice that splits out the cost. Stage 1 (by 15 April if possible) will be just 6 sockets and two switches, so I can test a few different kinds of downlight fittings. A few weeks later we can do the other 34 units after I've bought my preferred fittings. (I may also decide to extend this project to some other lights later but that would be a separate project.) I have not yet bought the new units but am looking at testing 3x Mercator Eko MD4106W-CCT and 3x Eclipse Mini LED Colour Switch Downlights. I may need advice as to what dimmer switch is universally compatible and good value for money. In some cases I need a dimmer switch (not a separate dimmer) because I have many 3- and 4-switch plates in the house and there isn't room for separate dimmers on those plates. Ideally can use the same kind of switch on white plates and on glass plates. Obviously you need to be a suitably qualified electrician and be ready to sign off on compliance of your work. Please also be ready to take care not to add visible marks to the ceiling as you work. Obviously my posted price is way under what I expect this to cost. My Macbook screen is black but i can hear the chyme when attempting to turn on - I have tried to reboot by nothing seems to be fixing it. When holding a flashlight to screen I can see but very faintly.

Supply and fit x3 hardwired smoke alarms

The light fitting has fallen out. it seems that the hole cut into the ceiling wasn't quite tight enough. It will probably need drilling directly into the ceiling, or some special glue.

Phone line is split to multiple points in house. I need to have splitter removed to only have 1 phone line connection. NBN advised low speeds probably due to multiple phone lines in house? Could be wrong information but have changed providers and same low speeds. FTTC connection.
