Task Description: I need a licensed electrician to remove a standard ceiling light fitting and install a ceiling fan in its place. Details: Current fitting: standard flush-mount ceiling light (see photo). New fitting: ceiling fan (with/without integrated light – please advise if a particular type is recommended). The fan will need to be safely mounted on a proper ceiling bracket. Please check whether additional support is required to handle the fan’s weight and vibration. Confirm existing wiring and install the necessary switch/control: Option A: Replace current wall switch with a fan + light controller. Option B: Set up remote control operation for the fan/light. Ensure the fan is installed in compliance with Australian electrical standards and that it clears height requirements (minimum 2.1 m from floor). Requirements: Licensed electrician only. Provide all tools and safety equipment. Supply and fit a fan-rated mounting bracket if the current ceiling point is not suitable. What I Will Provide: The ceiling fan unit (please confirm model suitability before installation). Access to the property and clear workspace. Preferred Date & Time: Flexible, but sooner is better. Please confirm availability. Additional Notes: If you can also recommend a good quality ceiling fan model (quiet, energy-efficient, with or without light) before the job, that would be helpful.
