Purchased a second-hand iPhone 14 pro max on Facebook marketplace, can't use it as it's passcode locked and original owner didn't factory reset it for me like I was told it would be. Tried contacting them but they've since left the state for their home town in NT and now they won't reply to me. Phone hasn't been erased via iCloud and Sim card hasn't been blocked- I dont know their appleid and I'm outta pocket $600! Please help! I've checked at the stores and they were no help. My financial security has been compromised by fraudsters masquerading as an anti-fraud department. Remote devices have been removed from my laptop and mobile phone, access to my accounts blocked, and new bank cards ordered. However, both financial institutions require the laptop to be "cleaned" of any malware and a report produced for them. Specific problems I have identified so far are: * password access has been changed by the fraudsters. My current means of access is by pin only * Trend micro security was purchased until 7/12/22, however Domayne has confirmed that the product was never activated. The product is linked to a hotmail address, but password is unknown. Trend micro has, however, consistently been blocking a spam site.
