My old macintosh laptop was stolen. I have a new (second hand)one. In attempting a time-machine restore from back up, the back up hard drive is shutting down. The files are there though. The new Mac is a MacBook Pro. Hi there - like many others I’ve got a lot of photos in different places and have managed to narrow it down to windows explorer (mainly up to 2018) and iPhotos (since 2018 but there is overlap) I’m struggling to get them all in one place to create a single, curated history of all our photos - trips, people and places. iPhoto just seems to dump random images into explorer and I can’t seem to get the lovely folder structure I have on explorer up into iPhoto. Can you help? You need to be really knowledgeable about this topic esp explorer to iPhoto synch. Please don’t learn on my job. If you know your stuff and are willing to understand how I’ve organised explorer and iPhoto and can genuinely help me sort this out then please accept the task. I’m open to ideas and not fixated on any one way of doing it. Prob best to meet at my place in beaumaris and go through what I have. It would be awesome if we could get this done.
