Cal’s awesome!! We’ll definitely have him back for anything in the future. He really knows his stuff. We originally had booked him for our deck and timber facade for an oil/stain, though thankfully he recognised that the facade was really damaged underneath from the past owners’ non maintenance of the house. Hence, if we did a sand back and stain we’d have to go super hard at the timber, or the finish wouldn’t look great. He suggested painting it as the primer meant not as much hard prepping to strip back the timber even more, and it’d last triple the time in our coastal weather. Soooo glad he recommended this, and now both our stained deck and painted facade look a treat! Thanks Cal! 😁

Construction of a wall at the end of the existing verandah. Wall frame to be built using f7 treated pine. Wall to have 1 aluminium sliding window 1.2m high x 1.4m wide. Both sides of the wall to be lined using ekodeck Castellated Panel system or similar cladding. Roughly 3m wide and 2.8m high. Not looking at ridiculous pricing. Happy for site inspection to be done. Two of the claddings installed in the outdoor area are a bit short (see attached photos) and they need to be replaced with new ones. To replace the two, the carpenter needs to undo a total of 5 claddings. The over all job should not take more than an hour and half. Please let me know if anyone is interested in doing the job.
