This has created a sharp, jagged edge that poses a splinter. The Job: The task is to perform a professional, smooth, and durable repair on this timber surface. The scope of work includes: 1. Preparing the split area by removing any failed glue. 2. Re-adhering the lifted veneer flat against the substrate using a strong commercial adhesive/epoxy. 3. Filling any remaining cracks, splits, or voids with a matching light-coloured wood filler or tinted epoxy (to match the light white-washed oak wood grain finish). 4. Sanding the repair perfectly smooth and flush so there are absolutely no raised edges, splinters, or sharp spots. 5. Applying a clear seal or touch-up finish to blend the repaired patch with the surrounding shelf.
