Looking for an experienced Kaboodle installer/cabinet maker to complete the finishing work on our laundry cabinetry. Cabinetry is already installed and all required Kaboodle parts/materials are supplied. Work required includes fitting/cutting the kickboard and end panel, adjusting and aligning the existing cabinet doors/fronts so gaps are even, and assembling/installing a Kaboodle laundry cupboard insert inside an existing tall cabinet. Important: the laundry cupboard insert is slightly too deep for the existing cabinet, so it will need to be accurately trimmed/reduced in depth before being assembled and installed. Please bring all tools required for accurate, clean cabinetry cuts and installation. Looking for someone with cabinetry/Kaboodle installation experience rather than general furniture assembly. The Issue: The light timber veneer coating on top of one of our main customer display shelves has split, cracked, and lifted along the grain. This has created a sharp, jagged edge that poses a splinter. The Job: The task is to perform a professional, smooth, and durable repair on this timber surface. The scope of work includes: 1. Preparing the split area by removing any failed glue. 2. Re-adhering the lifted veneer flat against the substrate using a strong commercial adhesive/epoxy. 3. Filling any remaining cracks, splits, or voids with a matching light-coloured wood filler or tinted epoxy (to match the light white-washed oak wood grain finish). 4. Sanding the repair perfectly smooth and flush so there are absolutely no raised edges, splinters, or sharp spots. 5. Applying a clear seal or touch-up finish to blend the repaired patch with the surrounding shelf. Reattach and reinforce a heavy bi-fold cabinet door** The two hinges supporting a large, heavy bi-fold door have pulled out of the particleboard cabinet side panel, badly damaging the screw holes. The hinges remain attached to the door. The job involves repairing and reinforcing the damaged mounting areas, securely reattaching both hinges, and adjusting the doors so they open, fold and close correctly. A strong, durable fixing method is required to prevent the hinges from pulling out again. The repaired areas should be left with a neat finish. When making an offer, please explain how you intend to reinforce the damaged mounting points. **2. Replace the removable washing-machine kickboard** The moisture-damaged MDF kickboard measures approximately 640 mm long × 120 mm high × 19 mm thick. The job involves supplying a replacement, cutting it accurately to fit the existing opening, and applying a silver/metal-look front finish matching the existing kitchen kickboards. If possible, the visible top edge should have the same or a similar finish so no bare MDF or particleboard can be seen from above. The two magnetic fixing plates screwed to the back of the old kickboard should be reused. The replacement must attach securely to the existing magnetic catches while remaining removable for access to the washing machine. **3. Repair the edge of a cabinet panel** The exposed edge of the white cabinet panel beside the washing machine is damaged, leaving the particleboard visible. The edge should be repaired and smoothed, then covered with securely bonded white edge banding matching the panel and providing reasonable moisture resistance. Please see the attached photos.
