looking for someone experienced with outdoor timber work/carpentry to build and install a 1 slatted timber bench seat top that will sit on top of my existing sandstone blocks. The blocks are already placed (heavy, not moving). The job is mainly to create a neat, level, finished bench seat and secure it so it won’t slide or rock. What I want: • A bench seat TOP only (no legs) •The sandstone blocks act as the legs/supports •Slatted timber look (like modern outdoor bench seating) •Must be level and solid •Ideally anchored/fixed so it can’t move (kids will use it) Approx dimensions: •Seat length: ~1500mm •Seat depth: ~500mm (open to recommendation) •Support length underneath is ~1500mm (stone layout is 1m + 1m + 0.5m) Preferred build: •Hardwood slats (Merbau / Spotted Gum / similar outdoor timber) °Small consistent gaps between slats (approx 5–8mm) •A simple subframe underneath (preference steel) so it stays straight and doesn’t sag Fixing method: either masonry anchors into the stone blocks Important: The stone tops are not perfectly level, so you’ll likely need to pack/shim/adjust the seat base to get the top perfectly level. i have an oil stain on my driveway from my car that was leaking. there’s two stains, both are about 50cm Each stain is roughly 50 cm x 200 cm. They don’t cover the whole driveway. You’ll need to bring your own cleaning products and equipment (degreaser, stiff brush, pressure washer if needed). The goal is to remove or very very noticeably lighten the stains as this is a rental unit and my lease is up soon so i need it looking reasonable. I have tried doing it myself but it won’t come off, i’ve tried CLR, and other grease/oil removals. The stain is approx 3 months old (trust me we’ve been trying to get it off the whole time, i have since given up lol). The pics are just after i tried to clean it again, alas, it did not work. Driveway has easy access and water available on site.
