We need a reliable carpenter to have a look at our new kitchen cabinet that is waiting for the stone benchtop to be installed. It seems that the floating cabinet needs stronger support (maybe more L brackets?) and ensure that is all levelled. Sadly, our installer is not being able to come to fix it.

Wanting someone to supply/install a shoe rack as per the attached photo sizing and specifications.

Summary: I need someone with a drill press and router to machine 12 pre-cut hardwood boards (Glacial Oak, 90 x 42mm). Three jobs: Drill 54 peg holes at a 4 degree upward angle, 25.4mm diameter (to suit my 25.4mm dowels), 30mm deep, blind (not through). 3 holes in each of the 6 x 800mm boards (18), and 6 holes in each of the 6 x 1600mm boards (36). Drill mounting holes for masonry screws to fix the boards to the wall (countersunk). Number and positions TBC. Router round-over on the front edges so they’re smooth, not sharp (around 6mm). 2 edges per board. A few extra notes: Peg holes should be a snug fit on the 25.4mm dowels (not oversized), and consistent so the finished rack looks even. I’ll mark all positions. Must have a drill press, as angled blind holes done freehand won’t come out straight. Mounting holes go through gyprock into the brick wall behind. I’ll confirm positions and screw size. I’m supplying all timber pre-cut (including the Tasmanian Oak dowels) and doing the assembly/installation myself. I’ll add images shortly, plus a YouTube video for reference. It shows someone making this as a yoga mat storage shelf, but mine will be for yoga bolsters/pillows.

Hello, I'm looking for someone with experience in cabinetry, built-in wardrobes or joinery to finish an IKEA PAX wardrobe install to make it appear built in and a tidy finish. Scope of works 1. Install infill/filler panels • Fill the gaps between the wardrobe and the side walls with 16mm MR MDF. • Scribe the panels to the walls where required so everything sits flush. • Ideally use moisture-resistant MDF or similar ready for painting. 2. Install a kicker/plinth board • Cover the existing timber base with a neat kicker/plinth with either 16 or 18mm with 16mm MR MDF. • Continue the plinth across the full width so it appears built in. • Minimise visible joins. 3. Finishing • Light sand and prime final cut and fitted pieces • Colour match GRIMO door at Dulux trade centre • Ideally, paint with low sheen Dulux Aquanamel and using high-density foam roller to achieve sprayed-looking texture • Finish neatly against the existing skirting boards and also IKEA base (may require some filling of gaps above plinth / kicker) • Caulk as required.
