I need to make some cabinets and desks for the building

I’m looking for a carpenter or experienced handyman to build and install a custom timber safety gate at the top of my outdoor deck stairs. The gate should match the existing timber balustrade as closely as possible and look like it was part of the original deck. The gate will be used to keep a toddler safe, so it needs to be sturdy and child safe, with self closing hinges and a self latching gate latch mounted high out of a child’s reach. Ideally, the gate should open onto the deck rather than out over the stairs. Please supply all materials, build the gate to suit the opening, stain it to closely match the existing timber and install it. I’ve attached photos of the staircase and opening. I’m flexible on timing but would like it completed within the next couple of weeks. Please include examples of similar carpentry or gate work if you have them.

Some boards have warped in our front deck. Not ready to replace it yet so would like to replace 2-3 boards and then sand back and stain the whole front deck.

Hi there, would like to have our front deck sanded and re-stained a lighter walnut colour. Deck is in good condition but has paint flecks from recently painted balustrade and is stained a jarrah look which we’d prefer to lighten. Approx 16sqm, plus 2x perimeter boards along each face edge. Please advise price & availability.

Kitchen installation of an ekitchen cabinets. All pre assembled. No benchtop installation required. The confirmatory measure has already been done. We want someone with either cabinetry or carpentry trade. Will need to possibly cut around PowerPoints etc. Part of one cabinet will not be able to be installed until after the benchtop is in.

I have two Ikea oak veneer bench tops that are 186cm in length and 3.8cm thick. I need each cut to 160 in length, with a very straight cut so they can be joined seamlessly. You will need to bring own equipment to cut the bench tops to size.

Removal of carpet stain - 2 small stains. Have tried stain removal from supermarket

I need 5 plywood slats cutting, I can provide the wood but need specific size to fit inside of a sofa. The measurement of the slats have to be 92cm long, 52mm wide, and 9mm thick. I don’t have any tools for the job either and can fit them myself, just need them cutting.

We have a small corner at the end of a small balcony that we are looking to build a cabinet to hold a bbq. We would also need to instal a range hood (and potentially some cladding on the forward facing side. We currently have an outdoor bench running the length of balcony which we are thinking to repurpose as cabinet top as doesn’t get used

Small ceiling stain requires fixing and painting (white). Only a very small patch from a leak which has been fixed.

Termite damage to wooden floor. One strip in hall. Remainder in area under the stairs. Area in hall needs replacement by end of week. Under the stairs not as urgent. Will need advice if repair possible under stairs or if need to remove and sand back to stone. Wood is veneer and glued to floor. Have found a strip of old wood that can be used to replace the outer section hopefully. Negotiable price depending on what has to be done!

Not sure of budget. carpenter, cabinet maker, joiner to reinforce base of wardrobe (base is separate & wardrobe is disassembled). Can be done at my place or your premises. I intend to put castors on the base. I can do that myself or quote me for both. I purchased it sight unseen and already dismantled (a mistake) and it definitely has a few battle scars. I need it to be mobile as it will be storage in my backroom which has polished concrete floors, but due to it’s weight, even without anything in it, I need to go for semi-industrial swivel castors with brakes of 75 to 100mm. Underside of base needs to be modified (see photo) to accommodate 75mm castors.

Outside covered decking (approx 6.5 x 4.5) needs sanding and oiling, nails hammered back. Decking area around the pool needs a little more attention as quite weathered. Also a wooden poolside screen and pool equipment screen plus small front door deck.
