What Happened & My Diagnosis: I recently checked the van and found a rodent nest built under the engine bonnet. Based on the concurrent symptoms, I highly suspect the rodents have chewed through the engine bay vacuum lines. It is very likely damage to either the main vacuum hose between the vacuum pump and the brake booster, or the smaller branch lines (usually 4mm/5mm) leading to the Turbo VGT actuator and EGR valve. The startup shudder also makes me think they might have nibbled on some minor wiring (e.g., glow plug or MAP sensor wires). Scope of Work Required: * Run an OBD2 scan to read and confirm the fault codes (likely underboost/vacuum related). * Visually inspect the vacuum lines and wiring harness around the turbo, brake booster, and top of the engine for bite marks. * Replace the damaged vacuum hoses (please bring some spare universal 4mm and 5mm vacuum hoses with you) and repair/insulate any minor chewed wires. * Clear the fault codes once repaired. Logistics: The van is in a secure storage yard. As the doors and bonnet require the physical key to open, I will need to meet you on-site at an agreed time to unlock the vehicle and assist. Thanks!
