Find a professional pergola installation expert in Inner South Melbourne

Looking for an experienced and reliable tradesperson to install a 3m x 4m pergola (already purchased from cosy deals...refer to image for model details) on an existing paved area. The pavers sit on a 100mm concrete slab.

Current polycarbonate roof was replaced in 2020. This wasn’t fitted correctly & may also have holes around the attachment areas. The parameter and few other nailed areas have significantly leaked since, which fast tracked the deterioration to the lattice attached between the roof and the fence, also the fence and some of the support beams. It has also weakened & stripped back some of the paving paint, due to the rain pouring in. This level of leakage and rapid damage never occurred prior to this re-fit and was only required because previous original laser light (approx 30yrs/old) got hail damage. We have an outdoor dinning area with a pergola built above it. We’d like a sloping clear polycarbonate roof built above it to keep the area and bbq dry. Is roughly 5x2.5m dimensions, can be flexible as doesn’t need to cover whole existing roof exactly. Would need a gutter on the outer edge to collect water, hopefully to drain into a storage barrel for use on the side. Needs timber framing as existing pergola is flat, and polycarbonate panels fixing on. Someone with experience of doing this or similar essential please. Happy to arrange viewing and discuss price. I have recently removed several slats from my pergola to let more sunlight into the house, and I now need someone with the necessary skill set to remove the three inner support beams that are tied into the house, as well as extending the cross bracing from the other half to tie into the outer support whilst ensuring the structural integrity of the pergola. The price will include the supply and installation, as well as removal of any timber. My terminology may be incorrect and I am also unsure with there would structural integrity concerns in undertaking this, so please ask any questions for further clarity.

Might required the porcelain pavers to be cut out at the feet of the pergola, or bolted through the porcelain with appropriate drill/core drill. Gm-outdoor dot com will show you the product. We ordered 6 motorised outdoor blinds for our pergola through Blinds Online. Three blinds are already installed, except for the side channels. The remaining three blinds are slightly too wide because our pergola isn’t perfectly square. Unfortunately we didn’t measure the top width…. Out by approx 20mm • Assess the best way to fit the remaining blinds • Potentially shave or trim the pergola posts slightly to allow the blinds to fit • Install the blinds and side channels • No electrical work is required

Take down and remove a timber pergola and grind the metal stirrups down to level. Care is required to avoid damage to pavers and to nearby glass pool fence and windows. This is a 2 person job.
