I would like to replace one column post (bolted, no digging is needed) and a couple of rotted rafters, and then install new Suntuf Trimdeck roofing sheets. The frame, beams and footing are otherwise fine, so this is a like-for-like replacement with no structural changes. Please remove the old sheets, post and rafters. Job details: * Pergola measures approximately 8m × 5m. * I have 2 sets of fairy lights, each 19.2m long (38.4m total, 400 LED lights). * I’d like them installed in straight lines along the beams, from end to end. * No zigzagging or draping — I’m after a clean, professional finish. * Lights are already supplied. * You’ll need to bring your own ladder and suitable outdoor clips or fixings. I'm after an experienced carpenter to clad the back wall and ceiling of my timber patio in hardwood slats. I'll supply all the timber, screws and spacers. You bring the tools and the know-how. Back wall (5405 × 2100 mm) • 23 rows of 86 × 19 hardwood boards, run horizontally and fixed to 5 existing roof posts. • First board 20 mm off the deck, with about 4 mm gaps. • Random-length boards, joined on post centres with the joins staggered. Ceiling (5700 × 2800 mm) • 52 slats of 86 × 19, run front to back between 9 exposed rafters (6 per bay, about 13 mm gaps). • Fixed up to the underside of the 5 existing roof purlins, about 700 mm centres. • Joins land on purlins and are staggered. • Screw length is critical so nothing goes through the polycarbonate roof sheet above, and fixings need to miss the existing roof screws. Requirements • Pre-drill every hole, with 2 stainless screws per board at every post or purlin. • Neat, straight and level work. This is a feature space, so finish matters. • Your own drop saw, drivers, levels and ladders or trestles. • Clean up offcuts at the end. I have dimensioned drawings, a cut list and a set-out sheet that I'm happy to share.

Hello, I'd like to get a basic gate installed between existing fences that have a spacing for a single car driveway. I do not have existing materials. The spacing is 2.8 metres. Maybe around 1.5 metres for the height, but I'm flexible and it definitely doesn't need to be as tall as the fence. Will need the fence for basic privacy and security purposes. It needs to be porous to wind as a previous gate failed under wind stress. The system should be able to accommodate a basic lock setup (e.g chain/latch and padlock) but I can set this up myself so it does not have to be included in this job. Open to second hand components if they do not compromise the durability of the construction and it reduces the overall cost. The existing adjacent fence posts may need reinforcement after the gate is added. A photo has been attached. It shows a former gate that is no longer there. I do not require the same design as this former gate.
