We’ve just moved in and the previous owners said these louvers haven’t worked for a while. Want to assess if we can get them working again. Seem in ok condition and carry the rain away well. Can be accessed from second story deck too. Suspect that’s where a mechanism is but we believe the control switch is on ground floor. Assume they are electric - we can’t see a hook for a pole or manual operation.

I am looking for an experienced pergola / roofing specialist who may be able to provide advice and possible waterproofing improvements for a custom-designed backyard pergola structure. The pergola has already been built and I would ideally like to retain the existing timber structure, as it was custom designed to suit the heritage style courtyard and outdoor space. The current issue is mainly related to waterproofing and leaking during rain. The roof uses irregular-shaped transparent acrylic/polycarbonate panels with a custom geometric design. Over time, silicone joints and timber movement appear to have caused multiple leaking points. I am NOT looking for a quick silicone patch job only. We have an outdoor shed (metal sheeting) measuring 3m wide x 0.78m x 1.7m high (brand Easyshed). It has been assembled, but the walls need to be erected. This is likely a two person job or else 1 person who is skilled at holding the walls to drill them together with nails. It should be a straightforward job IF you have experience at assembly or are a skilled tradesperson.
