Needing someone to help with a super small job. Closed off a door and want to fill in with bricks. The step is to be removed so those bricks can be used to fill in the wall. It’s only small. Plus need to fill in this little window and a couple of gaps from the plumber. Walls are being painted so if a couple of extra bricks are needed, we can put anything. I'm looking for an experienced bricklayer or builder to modify my existing brick fireplace. Please refer to the attached photo for the scope of work. Required work: - Install a steel lintel at the height marked by the green line in the photo. - Build up two courses of bricks on each side as marked in red to provide proper support for the lintel. - Leave the existing inner firebox/opening (outlined in blue) untouched. - Remove all bricks and hearth tiles marked in yellow. Remove only enough brickwork so the remaining brickwork is flush with the surrounding wall. It does not need to be decorative, as the fireplace will be sealed and covered during a later renovation. The priority is that the lintel is installed correctly and fully supported by the new brickwork. The finished brickwork does not need to be a feature finish, but it should be structurally sound and completed to a professional standard. Please include: Your experience with bricklaying, fireplace modifications or structural masonry. Supply of mortar and any consumable materials required. Lintel already purchased as shown in second picture. Removal and disposal of all brick rubble and debris. Leaving the work area clean and tidy once complete.

The job involves infilling areas around a newly installed set of bi-fold doors, ensuring a secure and weather-tight finish that blends seamlessly with the existing structure. We’ve got a small area at the back of our property where a water tank used to sit in the brickwork. Now the water tank is removed I’d like the brickwork filled in to match the surrounds.
