We are looking for a fluent Japanese–English speaker to join us for a family dinner and assist with conversational translation. My partner’s brother is getting married this weekend, and tonight we are meeting the bride’s parents who have flown in from Japan. As their English is limited and our Japanese is minimal, we would really appreciate someone who can help translate conversations so both families can get to know each other comfortably. This is a relaxed, social setting, simply helping translate during normal dinner conversation. What: Need an English-Chinese Translator to join us for roughly 30 minutes at a pub in Richmond to translate for our friend. When: Only needed for a 30 minute period and we can do anytime between 2pm-7pm Does not have to be perfectly fluent, we have a half Chinese friend that is hard of hearing, want to bring a translator in to poke some light fun at him for not always understanding/hearing us.
