I’m looking for someone who can help me repair my timber floor, it is a small area and the damage is minimal, but the colour has changed and the wood has become exposed. It will need to be refilled, maybe stained to match the colour and sand and sealed. I’m looking for someone who can make this as natural as possible.

A small area of my engineered timber flooring has developed gaps, some of which are around 4-5 mm wide. I want my flooring inspected and fixed properly. I am unsure on the best solution here and so I am not sure on a price, I'm looking for this to be negotiated.

Job Description: We need an experienced flooring specialist or carpenter to reinstall 2 loose timber floor planks in our hallway area ASAP.. Two of the planks has completely come off, creating a tripping hazard over the indentation. Specifications: Dimensions: 2 planks, approx. 1200mm (L) x 136mm (W). Materials: We will provide the 2 pieces of timber floorboards. Finish Required: Sanding and polishing the 2 newly laid planks with a colorless/clear polish to match the surrounding floor. The Subfloor Issue (Please Read): These exact boards were previously fixed in April but have failed again. There appears to be a recurring moisture issue rising from the concrete subfloor directly underneath these two boards. There is no plumbing beneath this section, so it is likely slow vapor transmission through the slab. Because standard flooring adhesive keeps failing due to the damp concrete, we need a specialist who can provide a proper workaround or mechanical fix so it stays down permanently. We are looking for someone who can execute a solution such as: 1. Applying a proper concrete moisture barrier/epoxy primer to the small affected patch of concrete before gluing, OR 2. Using heavy-duty masonry anchors/plugs to mechanically screw/nail the boards down into the concrete (countersunk and neatly puttied over), OR 3. Suggesting an alternative robust method that handles minor concrete dampness.
