Hi there, I need a tiler or skilled bathroom handyman for a small 2-part job in a Level 2 townhouse in Maribyrnong. The area is roughly 115cm x 90cm. The Plan: We are removing an old leaking shower and replacing it with a fully enclosed, freestanding acrylic shower cabin. Therefore, I just need the old area demolished and a new, perfectly flat tiled floor laid for the cabin to sit on. Scope of Work (Part 1 - Demolition): - Remove the existing glass shower screen. - Jackhammer/remove the floor tiles and the wet cement screed down to the timber subfloor (approx 115x90cm). - Dispose of the rubbish/rubble. - Leave the existing PVC floor drain pipe in place. [Pause for 3 to 5 days to let the timber subfloor dry out] Scope of Work (Part 2 - Tiling): - Return to lay cement tile underlay/sheeting over the exposed subfloor. - Tile the 115x90cm area PERFECTLY FLAT (no fall to the drain required, as the freestanding cabin has its own base). Important Notes: - NO AS3740 wet-area waterproofing is required, as the new freestanding cabin will completely contain the water. - I will supply the floor tiles.
