Re-Posted: $100 paid for someone to come out to look at my old bathroom and tell me what's possible and then quote on the job... We want to re-tile an old bathroom and wondering if old tiles can be removed or we should tile over the top of them? Removing them is not the usual easy job as house was built in 1964 and tiles were stuck on with cement. Approximately 580 tiles each measuring 15cm x 15cm, so around 9m2? One wall is tiled on an outside brick wall (shown with windows in the photos) and the other walls are tiled on inside walls (plasterboard?) but all looks to be tiled on some kind of cement. Happy if they can be tiled over the top but want to put new tiles up to the ceiling. Old ones currently go 3/4 up the wall so would have to fill in the top part to make level. - Due date: Flexible

Looking for someone to fix our old marble tiles with epoxy resin or epoxy grout … whatever will be the best solution. Around a bath and old spa which has chlorine in it, so must be able to sustain exposure to heat, constant water and chlorine. Must be experienced in this line of work. Tile a fireplace hearth in Dark Emperador Marble Tiles. (Tile size 600mm x 300mm x 16mm thick). Hearth size 2785mm wide (approx. 4.5 x 600mm tiles wide) x 300mm (1 tile deep). Hearth is wider at ends (add <1 tile each end). Plus art niche (add <1 tile). Plus the hearth facing edges. Prefer polished edge, not tiler's strip. See photo. Yes, there are spare tiles. We do not require the fireplace surround, only the hearth tiled. Hard to explain but photo makes easier to see what needs to be done. Flexible when. Price guide only, please adjust if required.
