When replacing clutch, gearbox speed sensor wires snapped. We have bought a replacement speed sensor and fitted it. However, the speedo, odometer still doesn’t work and the 4wd transmission light stays on whether it is in 4wd or 2wd. These three issues presented when the gearbox speed sensor initially snapped. My dad is a great mechanic and has tried what he can but we don’t have a way of spinning the tyres up off the ground safely to see if the sensor is rotating. We have done our best looking at all the plugs and switches. The gear lever cover is already off so you can access the top plugs. I have also connected a OBD scanner and have driven the car with the live feed and both the vehicle speed and distance stays on 0km. There were no error codes, however the scanner wasn’t working that well. We have disconnected and reconnected the battery. I am unable to take to a mechanic because there is no rego or insurance on it as I am moving to Canada. I am looking for a good mechanic to try and diagnose/fix for a cheap price at home. Buying a 2014 Nissan Juke and there is a squeezing sound. I think it could be a timing chain issue but wanting to get a quote to do a diagnostic and if it is the timing chain to fix the timing chain and remove the sound.
