I've handled bodywork, cosmetic restoration and some mechanical fitment myself, but need someone who genuinely knows these trucks for the mechanical/electrical side. NEED HELP WITH: - Engine bay assessment — unidentified components/routing on a 302 Windsor EFI - Alternator/charging wiring — no harness diagram survives the RHD conversion - Unlabelled connectors/wiring in engine bay and firewall needing ID and correct termination - AC routing — no firewall penetration yet for HVAC lines & Condensor - Suspension/steering — ball joints, radius arm bushes, sway bar bushes (parts on hand) - Brake system check before first fluid commitment - Pre-start sign-off — fuel system, belts, general check before first start IDEAL PERSON: - Experience with classic American V8s/Ford F-series, ideally RHD conversions - Comfortable fault-tracing without a full wiring diagram - Happy to explain as they go, not just take it away On-site, Cleveland QLD, truck not driveable. 2007 PJ ranger. EDIT: the gearbox still occasionally struggles to engage Drive.. I took for a short drive today engine light came back on and wouldn't accelerate more than 80km/h.. revs started lurching again and acceleration became very sluggish. The gearbox struggles to engage has been diagnosed as salt water gotten into the gearshift cable underneath the car, spraying this with fish oil and lanolin has helped significantly. This cable will need a proper clean for this problem to be fully rectified. The voltage issues have been cured by a new alternator. The music problems seem to be a case of a cheap Chinese head unit having problems solely playing CDs. Although weirdly this code P0222 or P0122 still comes and goes occasionally. TPS has been changed.
