I am restoring a 1999 BMW 5-series. I did an engine swap with a used engine from the breakers. It runs well but the car is blowing smoke (burning oil). I did a compression test and something is off. I simply need a leak down test to confirm whether it’s a cylinder problem or a head problem. I don’t have the equipment and would, frankly, appreciate an opinion. Nothing more. I need it done at my place. Ignore the budget, I have no idea what to suggest.
