Looking for a mobile mechanic to properly diagnose the problem on my 2015 VW golf wagon. (Budget is for diagnosis) I understand fixing the issue will be a lot more. I think the transmission modular needs either re-coding/repair or replacing? And or the transmission might need servicing? The car is doing a few things which leads me to that conclusion including 1) setting off multiple warning lights like error hold assist, ACC, ESC, electric parking brake. And it now does one of two things often including either not kicking over at all and sets off all those warning and a msg saying put into park or neutral OR will kick over but won’t go into gear.. showing the same msg park and neutral even though it is in park. Looking for someone who can diagnose it and fix any of those problems . PS: it’s not the R-line I believe it’s the 103

Last week I was driving, my check engine light came on. It wasn’t even 20 minutes later that I started to lose power, I ended up stopping the car with smoke pouring out of the bonnet. I NEED to know if my engine has blown. There was no loud bang but there were some light tapping noises. The aircon started playing up about a week before this had happend. And oil was re filled about 2 weeks prior.

I have a 2008 Falcon EA-FG wagon with 300k on the clock that is not starting. Yesterday I went to start the car and it started making by metallic grinding/banging noise on my second or third time attempt and so stopped and called the RACV. The RACV guy says that it is either: a) The starter motor which can easily be replaced. b) The bendix or ring gear which is a bigger job. I need a mobile mechanic to come out and give me a second opinion. The task is to come and quickly pull out the starter motor and tell me what the actual issue is. If it's just the starter motor then there will be another task to replace it. If it's the bendix or ring gear then another task to fix this is you can. This is a friends car so I will need something in writing like an email or Air Tasker message to conform what's wrong. Toyota LandCruiser 60 Series manual. Clutch pedal feels normal but won’t disengage. Clutch fluid reservoir was empty. Likely master and slave cylinder replacement.

I recently had my car serviced and the mechanic quoted to replace the seized alternator and drive belt. They said it would be fine to wait until Jan to have this done, and now I have a car that has completely failed due the battery not charging! I was quote $650+labor for the job. I got all the parts needed to do the basic servicing and I need the air intake hose to be replaced, got the hose as well. Need to check break pads if they are all good, otherwise will need break pads to be replaced also! Oil change, oil filter change and Break fluid flush and top up. It’s a 2007 Ford Escape XLS.
