Hi, I’m looking for an experienced mechanic who is available tonight to have a look at my car. I’ve been hearing a loud squeaking/squealing noise from the brakes when driving, and it seems to be particularly noticeable when reversing. I’d like someone to inspect it, diagnose what’s causing the noise, and repair it if possible. I also have a front left headlight/light that isn’t working. If it’s something simple like a bulb replacement and can be done at the same time, I’d appreciate getting that sorted as well. What I need: Inspect and diagnose the brake squeaking/noise Repair/replace whatever is necessary if possible Check the front left light and replace the bulb Ideally someone who can come to me and complete the work tonight but I can go to you if you have a shed. Please let me know what parts would be required and whether they’re included in your offer I’m hoping to get the most important issue (the brakes) sorted. Hi, I need a mobile mechanic in Fitzroy to replace the engine mounts and the starter motor on a 2006 Honda Civic 1.8L Automatic.The top right-hand side (RHS) hydraulic mount has completely collapsed and the lower rear torque mount is snapped, which has caused the engine block to drop down significantly out of alignment.I have all the parts physically here with me today:A brand new 4-piece engine mount kitA brand new OEX Starter Motor (DXS599) ready to goImportant Notes for the Job:You must bring a trolley jack and wood blocks to carefully raise the sagging engine block back up into its correct structural alignment before removing the old mounts and bolting on the new ones.Because the engine block has dropped, access to the starter motor area is tight. The mounts and the starter will need to be swapped during the same session while you have the block supported.
