What’s included with your lawn mowing service?
A standard lawn mowing service involves cutting the grass to between 5-10 cms (2”- 4”), normally using a petrol lawnmower. Lawn mowing contractors will usually bring their own equipment, plus bags to take the rubbish away. If you have a large garden or acreage, a ride on mower might be required, so make sure you specify the size of the area in your post.
But it doesn’t have to end there. Many lawn mowing service providers offer other inclusions along with the mowing, like...
Edging and whipper snipping
Lawn mowing professionals will have a whipper snipper (and other tools) to give your lawn sharp edges and stop your grass from growing onto the footpath or curbs. They’ll also clean around garden beds, trees, and features for a clean, professional finish.
Rubbish removal
Your gardener may use a leaf blower or broom to remove cut grass from the pathways and edges to leave a clear surface. They’ll also take away any lawn clippings, twigs, and any debris that was on the grass before cutting. If you prefer, you can ask that they leave the grass clippings for you to use as mulch or compost.
Lawn mowing does not usually include removing hard rubbish and waste from your grass. If you want your gardener to clear the area before cutting, make sure you specify this so they can include it in their quote.
Fertilising
Keeping your lawns lush and green requires regular feeding and should be part of your garden maintenance. Knowing which fertilisers to apply and when can make the difference between golf-club enviable green and corn flakes crunchy lawns. Strong, healthy lawns need less watering and are more weed resistant.
Weed killing
Keeping weeds out of your lawns will make them a more welcoming place to play, rest, and relax without worrying about prickles and spikes. Regular trimming, manual weed removal, and organic or chemical weed kill will keep your lawns looking a lot healthier, too. You might also add on weeding for your garden beds so your whole garden can look tidy.
Leaf blowing

Hey team, I need someone to help us with our lawn. Suffice to say, we've our hands well and truly full at the minute, and while I still appreciate getting them dirty once in a while doing the Sunday chores, I need to outsource this one. Whats the go? - Mow and whipper snip front and back lawns - Usually takes me about 2 hours but I've allowed for 2.5 hours - Will use my mower and whippy, they're both < a year old and the whipper snipper is a weapon 4-stroke Honda, cuts through the fence if you let it. - I'll fuel them up, and you can leave the waste in our green big, no need to take it. Just rock up, sort the lawns and you're away.

Get my keys to a new property this afternoon and hoping someone can help mow my lawn, it’s a small lot property is only on 300m2 total (including house) so front and back combined is probably 100m2 total give or likely take.
