Retaining wall is going to be about 500mm away off the concrete pathway, 600mm high with 4 200mm sleepers in each section. 1 of the 200mm sleepers will be buried and not visible. About 12m length total. Already purchased pine sleepers which I am going to cover with painted VJ panel once the wall is finished. A lot of this job is ready to go. I have had a crack at doing it myself but I am having a really hard time digging the holes so I thought I would see if a professional can take over and get the holes deep enough. I want to use mostly 1.5m gal steel H posts which means holes need to be roughly 900mm deep. Except for corner post I want that one to use 1.8m post because it is further away and will have a lot of the post out of the ground but hole for that one could probably be 1.2m. So I first tried to dig by hand, then I hired a hefty 2 man post hole borer with 300mm auger that could dig 1.5m deep. The borer helped with a couple of hole but some of the hole it would just get to hard clay and not go any further. 3 out of the 7 holes are pretty much ready to go. The other holes have been started. Could be an easy job for someone with the right machinery. I live 5 mins for Daisies in Torquay which has all the posts. I can purchase these if you like. Keen to get it done quickly as I’m not fully confident in the small wall of dirt holding up the concrete pathway

Have all material. 15 steel posts. 12 sections 3 sleeper high. 2 sections 2 sleeper high. All material and bore holes will be completed by Wed 12/12. Start from Thu 13/11. Will provide concrete bags or mini mixer for concrete for steel posts. One day install steel posts in concrete and next day install sleepers.

Anyone with a small machine to level out this dirt pile under an hours work start to finish

Move much Sat or Sunday this weekend. I have a large and small wheelbarrow. 65 is an hourly rate, it will take more than an hour, so if both happy we will keep going. My wife and I will help to spread

Cut out ironbark tree stump with a chainsaw, you will need a decent chain saw, small one will not do the job, ironbark is extremely hard timber, the whole stump must be removed.

Iron bark tree stump has to be cut out with a chainsaw, stump grinder will not go deep enough for this job, the stump is right on the boundary and will require cutting vertically and horizontal at the bottom, it will require many cuts to achieve this, not a job for a small chainsaw or a battery powered saw, ironbark is extremely hard timber, do not take this job on if you think you can do it in a couple of hours!

Move some mulch about 5m to spread around our garden bed

The landscaper didn't really futureproof the pool water feature, it rusts and chips of the rusted steel falls out and into the pool. Also, the water drips onto the bluestone pavers so they're rusting underneath the feature too. I just haven't been running it to prevent further damage, but I'd like to be able to. Need a plan and a quote to make the feature a little more rust proof and to prevent dripping on the pavers. If possible, would also like the rust cleaned from the pavers.

Put down some outside tiles Remove some pebbles.

Move a delivery of 3 cubic metres of mulch from front driveway to back garden. I can provide a wheelbarrow. The mulch just needs to be dropped in a few piles, so I can spread it around the garden. - Due date: Before Friday, 17 November 2023
