I’m looking for an experienced landscaper to help redesign and transform an existing rock garden area (approx. 40m²) that adjoins our outdoor entertaining space and runs along the side fence. I’d like to create a modern, simple and low-maintenance area that complements the surrounding outdoor space. Some initial ideas include: Using sandstone blocks (or a recommended alternative) to raise the garden area to the height of the existing retaining wall along the fence. Finishing the surface with a decorative, compacted gravel such as decomposed granite or another low-maintenance product. Installing large format pavers and a central firepit as the main feature. Creating a built-in or integrated seating area around the firepit, designed for both style and comfort. We have the area underneath our stairs we would like some plants/landscaping to look nice and a little retaining wall/protection to keep the dirt off the deck. I would also love a small herb garden.
