I’ve just moved house and have a solid timber sideboard downstairs that needs to be carried up my staircase. It’s heavy and awkward, and the staircase has a turn near the top — so this needs people who know what they’re doing. This is at least a two-person job (possibly three), ideally with lifting straps or other moving equipment to protect the furniture and the walls/banister. I can remove drawers/doors beforehand to reduce weight. Need 2 people with own transport to move heavy items from townhouse in Preston to storage shed a 5 min drive away. Includes: Washing machine (heavy), queen bed frame, 2 x set of drawers in cupboard, 2 x side buffet cabinets, 1 of which is very heavy solid wood, 4 chairs if space (all via stairs) and a desk (on ground floor). Storage shed is on a basement level maximum height is 2.05 m so a van would work best but can park up the top and there is a lift to use if needed.
