Looking for someone experienced in gardening/landscaping to give our backyard a proper tidy-up and redefine the lawn and gravel areas. The garden had become quite overgrown around the edges. I have already mowed/cut down the majority of the overgrown grass, as you can see in the photos, but the grass and roots are still present in areas that should actually be gravel/stone. We need these areas properly cleared rather than simply mowed shorter. The job would include: * Properly remove the remaining grass/weeds (including roots where necessary) from areas that should be gravel/stone * In particular, clear the area alongside the house and underneath/around the washing line — this should be stone rather than grass * Clear the areas in front of/alongside the garage/shed, where grass has grown through and taken over the original gravel areas * Create clean, defined edges between the main lawn and gravel areas * Level and prepare the cleared areas and lay a small, even layer of gravel/stones — no paving stones or paved pathway required * Weed and tidy around fence lines, garden beds and existing plants * Properly edge the main lawn * General cut-back/tidy of any remaining overgrowth * Remove all green waste and debris afterwards We want to keep the main grassed lawn, but reclaim the perimeter areas that have become overgrown and turn them back into neat gravel/stone areas. This isn’t a full garden redesign — we’re mainly looking for someone who can properly clear everything, redefine the edges and make the existing garden look clean and maintained again.
