Remove a section of steel garden edging — Briar Hill, Melbourne I need an experienced handyman to remove approximately 260cm of fixed steel garden edging from my backyard to make way for a new cubby house installation. The edging is standard pressed steel, 1cm thick and 10cm deep (buried), so should be straightforward to cut and lever out. The job involves: • Cutting out a ~260cm section of steel garden edging using an angle grinder with metal cutting disc • Removing the buried portion of the edging (soil is Melbourne clay so may need a flat spade/lever) • Filing or capping the two remaining raw cut ends on either side of the gap (important — young children will be using the area) • Backfilling the void left by the removed section with topsoil I will supply • Raking level with the surrounding soil Please bring your own angle grinder, metal cutting disc, and appropriate safety gear.
