What needs to be done: • Remove existing bark and weed matting (fairly shallow layer and small volume). • Thoroughly remove weeds and grass from the area. • Install a protective border/edging (wood or plastic) along the sides bordering: • the lawn next to the footpath, and • the fence line, to stop grass/weeds creeping back into the garden bed. • Lay new weed matting. • Plant a few succulents and a hardy rosemary plant after the bed is prepared.
