We removed various floorings within the home to polish boards, which we are happy with. Within the study 2.2 x 3.8m tiles were removed and uncovered half a room of boards with some water damage and the other half is chipboard. The board section has since been polished to look more like image 3&4, with some water damage but no holes etc, it's a solid floor. I'm seeking to resolve this floor and let it blend in as much as possible to the rest of the flooring. i was thinking of some sort of overlay, previously in the kitchen they had installed click in floating laminate boards (poorly) which could be an option if it was the right color and installed correctly.
