Scope of works: * Remove 2 existing downlights * Enlarge existing ceiling cut-outs from approximately 63mm to 90mm * Convert existing hard-wired connections to plug-base connections suitable for the new lights * Install 2 x Philips Hue Akari downlights (lights supplied by me) * Test operation and ensure installation complies with Victorian electrical requirements Details: * Apartment with plasterboard ceiling * Existing lights are currently wired directly into the electrical circuit (not plug-based) * New lights require 90mm cut-outs and plug-base connections * Looking for a neat, professional finish with clean cut-outs and no ceiling damage * Licensed electrician only * Please include any parts required (e.g. plug bases) in your quote and advise whether a Certificate of Electrical Safety will be provided

I have 2 new LED downlights that I need swapped out for plug in ones. I think the old ones might be hardwired as the connection looks different to all the others in the apartment. The cable had a blue box in the line so I didn’t pull it out any further to check because I was unfamiliar with it. Hoping someone can come have a look and change it to a plug in connection if possible. I have attached photos of the lights currently installed and the lights I have bought to swap with.
