Hello, Some balustrades on the deck balcony have come loose (approx 12) + one has fallen off completely. Hoping to secure (or replace the wood) so that the Balcony can be secure and safe to lean on without risk of someone falling off. Material costs will be covered, quote is for labour only. Some deck wold and a few bits of an old shelf together with a few bits of support timber to be removed. We have easy access and easy parking so should be a simple job. See photos.

Small amount of rot in bottom corner of railing requires repair. Need to replace the bottom railing. Both sides of the corner as pictured.

Clean two timber decks, timber stairs and timber retaining walls. It should be around 200 sqm to clean / cover. (Last time I used Peerless JAL Active O Spray and Wipe followed by pressure cleaning and it worked very well.)

Replace a rotted timber of deck

We had some new merbau timber planks (approx 20) replaced in our existing decks (see pics, you can see the lighter/new pieces). With the rain last week, they are now bleeding the factory tannins (and we have tiles below) and we need to get it sorted ASAP. The guy at Bunnings told me they need to be washed with "New Timber Prep" to remove the tannins and then stained. Will need this to be done on the top and underside of the deck, to stop further bleeding (see pic). Have been told the staining will need to be applied super lightly, by light sponging versus painting? But if you are a decking business, you surely know more than me about the best process to solve this problem. I have the Bunnings "New Timber Prep" solution and the stain, but if you have better products and prefer to use those I can easily return mine. Looking to get this done ASAP. Thanks

Back needs refurbishment. 1) Strip existing deck timbers. 2) Remove to nature strip (where I’ll arrange disposal). Access is a bit awkward but not terrible; they need to carried along a 20m passage and passed one story to to street level. New materials will need to make the journey the opposite way. 3) Replace one (circa 1m) timber peer . This is the only time peer in the structure, the others are brick or gal steel. It is current just stuck in the ground so there will be a hole when it’s removed that will need to be dug or a little and filled with concrete into which a stirrup needs to be set for a timber peer. 4) Replace rotten joists. Probably 6 of the existing 15 joists need to be replaced. 4) Install deck flashing on all joists 5) install new deck timbers (140 x 19 mm) with screws, drilling pilot holes and countersinking) 6) Finish the ends and exposed side with 2 ‘courses’ of decking timbers. This may require trimming some of the existing joists and packing out others. I will order materials to be delivered to site. The deck is 5.6 x 9.05 (approx) which I estimate will require 38 runs of timber, plus additional decking timbers as fasciae this will require around 900 screws. Please be aware that the site is on a steep slope. In one corner the deck is approximately 1m above ground level but it is about 6m above ground at the opposite corner furthest from the house.

Preparation (leaf blower, light sand with sanding broom, girney for some areas), and 2 coats of oil applied with broom and brush (brush on all sides of slats of vertical wood panels) of outdoor deck and wooden area and stairs. Will likely be needed to be done over 2-3 days in tween prep and coats. (Note-ignore garden rubbish on deck in photo. That’s been removed) I will provide all oil and brushes / tools etc. just need labor.

I have a timber deck walkway that needs to be stained

I am looking for help to build the frame for a 3x4m deck. No concrete. I have footings and all materials. I also have all power tools available if required. Need approx 4-5 hours of labour. Must have relevant experience. - Due date: Needs to be done on Friday, 15 December 2023
