I have an old chicken coop, currently used for storage, that I would like to use for chickens again. The previous dirt floor was dug up and overrun by rats. I would like the floor repaired in a more rat-resistant way. I am flexible on method, though I already have a supply of bricks on site that could be used.

The coop is brand new and still flat packed. The ground has already been cleared and is mostly level. The build will be almost like the picture below without the box attached to the side, and extra chicken wire nailed to the ground for predator proofing I'm looking for someone who's confident in doing the build and has experience putting together chicken coops, aviaries, sheds or similar flat-pack outdoor structures. Looking for an experienced handyman or carpenter to modify and upgrade our backyard chicken coop. Currently, the rear wall cladding, roosting bars, and roof support are attached directly to the timber boundary fence (see photos). I need to completely isolate the coop from the fence line so it is 100% freestanding and self-supporting, using new timber framing. Scope of Work: 1 Dismantle & Isolate: Safely prop the roof and detach all existing timber rails, lower iron cladding, and internal roosting bars from the boundary fence posts/rails. 2 Independent Timber Framing: Supply and install new vertical timber support posts/uprights just inside the coop footprint (offset slightly so they do not touch the boundary fence) to carry the structural load. 3 Colorbond Cladding: Install new Colorbond steel sheeting across the back wall section to replace the old lower iron. 4 Complete Rat-Proofing: Remove the old loose chicken wire and supply/install heavy-duty, small-gauge rat-proof wire mesh . securely fixed to the timber frame to ensure a completely vermin-proof enclosure. 5 Reinstatement: Secure the existing roof sheets and mount the internal roosting bars back onto the newly built independent timber frame.

I need a handyman or carpenter to help finish off the exterior of my chicken coop nesting box. The frame is already built, but the edges and cement sheets need to be cut, squared up, and fitted properly so it looks neat and weather-proof and ready for me to paint. Job includes: • Cutting and installing small cement sheet panels to cover gaps • Neatening edges and corners • Making the box look like one clean, square unit • No painting required The box is approx. 2m wide × 1m tall (small job). I have the cement sheet, nails etc.

Hello, Are there any carpenters free this morning/ afternoon to help build the frame of a chicken coop? I have all the materials, just looking for the knowledge and help. Don’t have plans, completely winging it but aiming to look something like the photos. Just focus on the indoor section today. Price is for 5hrs of work.

We are wanting to build a new chicken coop. Have rough plans of what we want (pictures attached) Roof of coop can be simple sheeting. We will provide all timber and materials. Just want the frame done. No need to paint or anything like that. Just the frame with the door.

A covered run with a coop on one end - full size door and strong wire - fox proof. coop to have nesting box on outside for easy collection. Rear access door / tray for easy cleaning. 2 nesting boxes, Ventilation on at least two sides of the coop (preferred wire mesh with the ability to close them off in colder months) . Round timber perches inside the coop and in the run.,ladder to enter coop which is off the ground - underneath the coop the sides to be solid so that the chickens can sit underneath , overall length of coop and run around 20 ft long & width 6ft (approx)

I need a gate installed for my chicken house and a chicken automatic pet door cut to fit and installed along the bottom of it. It will be attached to my tin shed which is at a rental house so minimal damage to it would be preferable. I will buy the gate and chook door when job is confirmed- I’ll add extra $ if you source/ can build a cheaper gate like the one in the pics. (Also I don’t have chickens yet if you’re scared of birds). Thanks! :)

I am looking to convert this store shed into a chicken coop and need an enclosed run to be built off the side of timber and wire mesh. Roughly 3m long, 2.19 high, 1.8 width (same as shed H and W). A door is needed in the side for access to the shed.
