When the couch was originally moved into the apartment, it was successfully brought up through the stairwell, so we know this route is possible. I would also like the movers to properly protect the couch before moving it, using moving blankets, plastic/movers wrap, or similar protective materials to prevent damage or marking while carrying it downstairs.
