I’m looking for an experienced carpenter or handyman to construct a new non-structural stud wall and install a cavity sliding door to enclose the alcove in my laundry. The washing machine and dryer are currently in an open alcove beneath the stairs. There is no existing door or door frame. Scope of works Construct new stud wall (approximately 1875 mm wide × 2400 mm high) in front of the existing brick wall. Install a Hume Doors & Timber 2040 × 820 × 70 mm Flush Jamb Evolution Door Cavity Unit. Existing alcove opening is approximately 740 mm × 2160 mm. Line the laundry side with moisture-resistant plasterboard. Set and sand the new plasterboard ready for painting. No painting required. No electrical work required. Notes: The cavity door must not disappear completely into the pocket. It should remain partially exposed when open so the handle is always visible and accessible. Materials Labour only. We have the materials on site.

There is a damaged strip of wood of the door. I need someone to source a strip of wood (2mx0.3cm). Take the damaged strip off this door and place on new strip of wood. Will pay for materials and work.

We have a stratco steel shed about 6m by 5.5m on a concrete slab, would like some timber frame walls and drywall/wood put up and drilled into the concrete. These are non structural walls. If you can provide the timber it would be great too.

We have approx 4m of kitchen benchtop that needs sanding back and re-oiling to get it looking as good as possible. There is some moisture damage, including in a few tricky areas. I have attached photos of those.

Jobs- 1. Spruce up the laundry - put a nice wood bench with either existing sinks or salvaged sinks set by into it, with storage underneath. Depending on price, I'd like the rest of the laundry to look cohesive with this, but am happy to stagger each area getting done to work with my budget. 2.Extend a part of the Jarrah kitchen bench to cover the new addition, a dish washer. I prefer to use recycled/upcycled materials as much as possible! Looking for a 'can-do' chippie, who enjoys incorporating existing materials and thinking outside the box to create an attractive space on a budget 😃 I also have lots of odd jobs all over the property- bigish and small if the rates are within my budget! ☺️👍 First two pics are my laundry, the rest are inspiration 🙏
